a-ha-live.com is an unofficial fansite, based in Norway, which offers updated news and info about the three members of the Norwegian band a-ha.
a-ha was formed in 1982 in Oslo, Norway by Paul Waaktaar-Savoy, Magne Furuholmen and Morten Harket and got their big breakthrough in 1985 with the album Hunting High and Low.
The band has continued to be a highly successful recording and touring act through the last four decades, even though they took a few years off between 1994 – 1998 and 2010 – 2014. Parallel to a-ha, its members have continued to stay busy with individual solo projects within music and visual arts.
Paul has released seven studio albums with his own band Savoy, Magne has released four solo albums and is part of the art collective Apparatjik, while Morten has released six solo albums.
In 2015 a-ha released their 10th studio album Cast In Steel, followed by a tour of South America, Russia and Europe. 2017 saw the release of their critically acclaimed live album MTV Unplugged – Summer Solstice. In 2018 a-ha went on the road again, starting with a series of MTV Unplugged concerts and continuing with the Electric Summer tour in Europe.
In 2019 a-ha embarked on a big world tour celebrating their first album Hunting High and Low, but it was put on hold in March 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In March 2022 the tour finally resumed, eventually ending up at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on 31 July, the 70th concert of the tour.
a-ha’s 11th studio album called True North, recorded with the Arctic Philharmonic in Bodø, was released in October 2022.
a-ha-live.com is maintained by Jakob Sekse. I’ve been an a-ha fan since 1985 and have attended 53 a-ha/solo concerts over the years. In 1997 I started posting news about a-ha on the internet, and in 2009 I launched this website. I can be contacted on Bluesky or via e-mail.
A special thanks to all the fans who have shared links and news items over the years!
