a-ha/magne f-drummer Karl Oluf Wennerberg, who comes from the small town of Vennesla in southern Norway, is interviewed by his local newspaper Vennesla Tidende today.

I’m looking forward to playing in every city, it’s really fun. There’s been a good atmosphere so far. The highlight will probably be the concert at Sør Arena [in Kristiansand] on September 11th. It will be special to be on home ground“, Wennerberg says.

UK tour dates announced has announced the first dates of the 2009 European Tour. They are as follows:

2 November: National Indoor Arena, Birmingham, UK
3 November: MEN Arena, Manchester, UK
4 November: O2 Arena, London, UK

The names of a-ha’s new backing musicians have also been revealed today. Erik Ljunggren (Seigmen, Zeromancer) on keyboards, bass and programming, and Karl Oluf Wennerberg (Dreampilots, Magne F) on drums.

More concert dates, including a German tour in October, are expected soon.
